All of the artists exhibiting in Querencia have challenged themselves to respond creatively and personally to the readings, discussions, and questions raised during the semester. Questions of home, belonging, community, and identity; the value of the unfamiliar, of recognizing differences in ourselves and others, and of bearing compassionate witness to our common humanity.
This show was our invitation to craft “home” out of places of passage and growth, unexpected recognitions, through artwork, poetry, fiction, moving image, performance and translation.
